Terms of Service

1. The service

ArchiStructura is a web-based toolkit that performs structural engineering calculations to the Eurocodes, building-physics checks, embodied-carbon assessments and construction scheduling. It is provided for educational and preliminary design use.

ArchiStructura is not a substitute for professional engineering judgement. Results must always be verified against the relevant National Annex and by a suitably qualified engineer before being relied on for any real structure. You remain responsible for any design decision you make using the service.

2. Accounts

Some parts of the service require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction to create one. Contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Subscriptions and payments

• Paid plans (ArchiStructura Pro and the student Edu tier) are billed through Stripe. Prices and billing periods are shown on the Pricing page before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Profile page or through the billing portal; cancelling stops the next renewal and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
• One-off purchases, such as the Edu tier, are charged once and are not recurring.
• Where a free trial is offered, the paid period begins when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand.
• Prices may change in future; we will give notice before a change affects your renewal.
• Statutory rights you have as a consumer, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected by these terms.

4. Student (Edu) tier

The Edu tier is a discounted licence for individual students and requires confirmation of a university email address. An Edu licence is personal to the student it was issued to and may not be shared, transferred or used by anyone else. To keep the discount available to students, accounts are limited in how many devices they may be used on at once, and we may suspend or revoke an Edu licence where there is clear evidence it is being shared.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service unlawfully, or to infringe anyone else's rights.
• Attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or to bypass subscription, licence or device limits.
• Copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the service, its calculation libraries or its content, or make it available as your own product.
• Upload files containing malware, or content you do not have the right to upload.
• Interfere with the operation of the service or place an unreasonable load on it.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the projects, notes, calculations and files you create or upload. You grant us the limited licence we need to store, process and display that content so we can operate the service for you — for example running an embodied-carbon assessment over an element database you uploaded. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

Share links you create are public to anyone who has the link, so do not share content you need to keep confidential.

7. Our intellectual property

The ArchiStructura name, its interface, its calculation libraries and its written explanations belong to us. The Eurocodes themselves are published by national standards bodies and are not reproduced here; the standards remain their copyright owners, and you should always consult the official published texts. Brand names and product data shown in the product and supplier libraries belong to their respective owners and are provided for reference.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change or withdraw features, and may suspend the service for maintenance. If we discontinue a paid feature you have paid for, we will refund the unused portion.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not warrant that any calculation, material property, carbon factor or product value is accurate, complete or suitable for your particular project.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or for any loss arising from a design decision taken in reliance on a result produced by the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where a licence is being misused, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to export your data first.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
